How We Work

We can take on your project from CONCEPTION through to PRACTICAL COMPLETION or you can choose to appoint us STAGE-BY-STAGE with pre-agreed fixed fees. Over the years, we have established personal connections with a team of contacts within the industry with whom we regularly work with including Quantity Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Town Planners and Party Wall Surveyors. This ensures that projects run efficiently, on time and within budget.

Stage A (Feasibility Study)

  • Carry out a measured survey of the premises
  • Prepare CAD survey drawings
  • Prepare an initial proposal to discuss with the client & Local Planning Authority

Stage B (Design & Planning)

  • Further information added to design
  • After approval of design by our client/s, we will submit a planning application including all necessary supporting documents required
  • After submission of the application we will corresponded with the Local authority and keep you updated with the planning application states.

Stage C1 (Building Regulations)

  • Technical Design
  • Preparation of technical design(s) & specifications, sufficient to co-ordinate components and elements of the project & information for statutory & construction safety. Also to include structural & building services systems.
  • Production Information Preparation of detailed information for construction.
  • Application for statutory approvals. (Building Control).

Stage C2 (Building Regulations)

  • Technical Documentation
  • Preparation of tender documentation, including choice of interior fixtures, finishes and materials to produce a more detailed set of drawings & an outline scope of works.

Stage D (Construction to Practical Completion)

  • We will help you choose an appropriate contract between you & your builder which we will then administrate.
  • Forward Architecture will monitor the works on site to ensure that the final standard of workmanship is in accordance with the contract and meets with your expectations.
